Leroy Roberts, a resident of Clayton, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Flowers Hospital. He was 70.

Memorial services for Mr. Roberts will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Memphis Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Britt officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Gentiva Hospice, PO Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.

Mr. Roberts was born June 6, 1941 in Plant City, Florida to the late William Sheppard and Mildred Meyer Roberts. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1964 and later retired from Macintosh Power Plant in Lakeland, Florida. Mr. Roberts was a member of Dykes Baptist Church in Louisville, Alabama.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Pamela; two sons, Gerald and Matt; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Esther (Ford) Peterman, Ethel (Raymond) Smith, Pat Torres, Barbara (Doug) Hawkins; two brothers, Lester (Barbara) Roberts, Lawrence Roberts.
