Mr. Levy Marrell Wilkerson, 86, a resident of the Ewell Community, died Wednesday morning, April 22, 2020, at his home with his family by his side.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 24, 2020, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Jack Maxwell and Reverend Roy Turner officiating.  Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. 


Mr. Wilkerson was born April 17, 1934 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Bennie and Minnie Lenard Wilkinson. Marrell grew up farming at an early age following the early death of his mother.  He later became the cut-down man for Norman McDaniel Logging Company. He operated Kennie’s Truck Stop in Brundidge and shucked oysters at the Ice House in Ozark.  Marrell was an avid coon hunter and was a member of the Heart of Dixie Coon Hunting Association.  He loved to go fishing and enjoyed eating fish.  Marrell enjoyed gardening and selling vegetables.  He loved the Lord and was a member of Cornerstone Holiness Church. He leaves an awesome legacy in his twenty-eight grandchildren.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two step-sons, Bobby Culley and Bruce Culley; two sisters, Lallie Marie Herring and Eulala Fuqua; and one brother, Buddy Wilkerson.


Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Willene Paul Wilkerson of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Keith Butler of Newville, Ann and W.M. “Bill” Sullivan of Ozark; one son, Levy L. Wilkerson of Ozark; one step-son, Howard and Debbie Culley of Taylor; two sisters, Vallie Mae Beggs of Leesburg, Florida and Velma Wilson of Pocahontas, Arkansas; three brothers, Noel Wilkinson of Ozark, Jim and Rosie Wilkerson of Eustis, Florida and Frank Wilkerson of Ozark.  Ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 105 Wyman Street, Enterprise, Alabama  36330.
