Mr. Lomax Wesley of Geneva, Alabama passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 12, 2015.  He was 67.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Gary Watson and Rev. Bob Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva City School System for use in the special needs classroom.

Lomax was born January 16, 1948, in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Max and Mary Louise Helms Wesley.  Lomax was bigger than life itself and enjoyed it to the fullest.  He was a prankster and could always make you laugh or smile even when you didn’t feel like it.  He retired from Ft. Rucker and later worked for the Geneva City School System as a bus driver and also as a teacher’s aide in the special needs classroom.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Lomax currently served as a deacon at The Crossing Church in Geneva.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca Hogan Wesley; two daughters: Kim (Barry) Gillespie and Melissa (Jamie) Casey all of Geneva; four grandchildren: Kendra Newman, Jordan Layne and Brenden Casey; three great-grandchildren: Ana Grace McCombs, Laythan and Kaelynn Loyd; two sisters: Betty (Harlan) Booth of Geneva, Debra (Randy) Messer of Enterprise; two brothers: Gene (Judy) Wesley and Billy Wesley all of Geneva; other extended family and a host of friends.
