Lonnie Pate Jackson, 70, was born December 14, 1951, to the late Robert and Mildred Jackson. He passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home after a brief illness with his wife, daughter, Angelia, and sister-in-law, Loretta Edberg by his side.

Pate was a man who loved to work, and he was an avid fisherman. He loved to garden and loved the outdoors. But mostly, he loved his family.

Pate was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey and Mildred Jordan; his granddaughter, Casey Maxwell; and sister, Kathy Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva, Alabama. The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 p.m. until service time.

He is survived by his wife of 21 plus years, Cindy Diane Jackson; daughters, Kelly Jackson and Angelia (Heath) Morgan; and stepson, Chris Smith; 7 grandchildren, Amber Maxwell, Trey Maxwell, Trista Morgan, Ashlyn Morgan, Kelsey Morgan, Cole Smith and Benelli Smith; 2 siblings, Eddie (Patty) Jackson and Kerry Morgan; 7 great grandchildren; nephews; a niece; and a special lifetime friend, Sam Mitchell.

The family would like to thank Daysprings Palliative Care: Cara Hinckley; Kindred Home Health: Amy Conner; Kindred Physical Therapy: Sharon Jenkins; Kindred Hospice: Tina Lewis, Tiffany, Turner, Cassie, Justin, and Eva; his work family at Carr Farms: including Jim Louie; and anyone else that might have been missed.
