Mr. Lyle Keith Lorton of Cusseta, AL passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 58.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. at the Earlytown Church of Christ in Samson with Minister Don Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  Mr. Lorton will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

 

Mr. Lorton was born July 21, 1953 to Leon Lorton and the late Opal Willhoite Lorton.  He was a member of Roper Heights Church of Christ in West Point, GA.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Mr. Lorton devoted 20 years of service as a truck driver to Wal-Mart.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Black Lorton of Cusseta, AL; one daughter, Bethany Presley and her husband Kevin of Dothan; one son, Garrett Lorton of Roanoke, AL;  his father, Leon Lorton of Cowden, IL; three grandchildren: Lauren Presley, Halle Presley and Dallas Lorton; and two brothers: Neil and Del Lorton both of Cowden, IL.
