OZARK…Mr. Malachi Moses, a resident of Ozark, died late Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2022, in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. He was 66.


            Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Keith Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Moses was born February 2, 1956, in Oakland, California. He was a graduate of Millikan First Moore High School in Oakland and attended California State College Long Beach. Mr. Moses lived in several locations in the United States and overseas while serving in the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Gulf War and Desert Storm. Mr. Moses moved to Ozark in 2021 following his retirement from Citi International Chemical Distribution in Rancho Cordova, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwayne Moses and Norvell Sharp.


            Surviving relatives include his spouse, Fanetta Ketchum Moses, Ozark; his parents, Phillip Moses (Katie), Sacramento, California and Lillie Sharp, Oakland, California; a sister, Cynthia Sharp, Oakland, California; three brothers, Mosienor Moses (Diannalin), George Sharp (Shirley), and Peter Sharp (Pam); many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; a step-daughter, Jessie Ray, Ozark; a step-son, James Hahn (Jennifer), Ozark; four step-grandchildren, Nathan Munn, Brody Segers, Vernoica Fleming/Hahn, and Chloe Fleming/Hahn; three sisters-in-law, Julia McGowan (Ronny), Lois Suggs, and Grace K. Henson; his church family and friends from Alabama.
