OZARK… Mr. Malcolm R. Windham, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday morning, November 19, 2022, at his home. He was 96.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 5, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Stokes officiating. Graveside services, with full military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Windham, son of the late Otis Windham and Mattie Bell Powell, was a native of the Arguta Community, near Ozark. He formerly lived on Lake Eufaula for several years before returning to Ozark. He was retired as the owner and operator of Community Repair Shop in Ozark for several years. Mr. Windham attended God’s Way Baptist Church in Eufaula and formerly attended Post Oak Baptist Church in Ozark. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Alice Sanders Windham and daughter Mary Jane Carter. 


            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Linda Strickland (Larry), Portland, Texas, Sherry Lynn Windham and Mary Andrea Windham, all of Ozark; a son, Melvin Ray Windham, Clayton; two sisters Faye Windham, Florida and Bobbie Nell Miller, Georgia; three brothers, Billy Windham (Jo), Arguta, Earl Windham (Jeanette), Pheonix City, and Phillip Windham (Dale), Georgia; nine grandchildren, Shannon McGonegal, Cindy Hulen, Brenda Windham, Christy King, David Strickland, Donavon Windham, and Darren Windham;  and seven great-grandchildren. 


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Lynn Windham, Ken Windham, Larry Windham, Brandon Flowers, Darren Windham, and Donovan Windham.
