Marc David Nomberg, 72, passed away at his home in Gulfport, Florida on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Marc was born in Dothan, Alabama on September 13, 1951 to Bill and Thelma Nomberg. He graduated from Dothan High School in 1969 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. While attending college, he was a member of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. After college, Marc moved back to Dothan to join the family business, Wex-Tex Industries, Inc. Throughout his life, Marc always had a passion for genealogy, seeking out and connecting with family members from all over the world.
Marc is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Thelma Nomberg; and his brother, Robert Brian Nomberg.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Nomberg and Rachel Nomberg Oziel (Matt); his grandchildren, Henry and Emma; his sisters, Lisa Nomberg Todd (Jimmy) and Anna Nomberg Schmidtke (Craig); his nieces and nephews, Joseph Sikora, Jordan Sikora Fleming (Will), and Sommers Schmidtke; two great-nephews and two great-nieces; and his three cats, Gari, Khris, and Max.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Memory Hill Cemetery, 2414 Hartford Highway, Dothan, Alabama 36305.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Emanu-El, 188 N Park Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303
