Obituary: Maurice C. “Bud” Himes

 

Mr. Maurice C. “Bud” Himes of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Flowers Hospital. He was 88. 

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 in Sorrells Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery at a later date. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to East Geneva County Senior Citizens Group in memory of Mr. Hime’s. 

Mr. Himes was born December 30, 1935 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Maurice Claud Himes and Irene Himes. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Himes. 

Survivors include his sons: Tad Piney (Deborah), and Maurice Himes (Lisa); grandchildren: Joshua Brinkley, Amanda Krumholtz, Maurice Himes; Tad’s family: Rachel, and Emily; great grandchildren: Brailynn Brinkley, Brycen Brinkley, Brenden Culver, Tad’s family: Cecilia, Jack, Ava, Annaleigh, Jane, and Jake; niece, Crystal Pagni; other nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
