Mr. McArthur Wilson, a resident of Webb, passed away early Friday morning, July 30, 2021 in Albany, Georgia. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tim Wilson officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 until 2:15 on Monday prior to service time. At all other times the family will be at the residence on 1260 Furnie Folkes Road in Webb.

Mr. Wilson was born June 14, 1943 in Houston County to Thomas Rush and Hazel Lee Barfield Wilson and lived all of his life here. He was employed for 30 years as an irrigation and landscape specialist at the Olympia Spa Golf Course that he helped build from the ground up. He also farmed for many years. Mr. Wilson loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Wilson is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Betty Boyette.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Wilson of Webb, six children, Tim Wilson (Nicole) of Chipley, FL, Thomas Wilson (Tracy) of Black,  Michael Wilson (Neili) of Kincey, Gail Quick (Charles)  of Huntsville,  Barbara Gray (Ronnie) of Webb and  Kim Matthews of Dothan; nine siblings:  brother, Rush Wilson (Sara) of Webb, sister, Joann Dollar of Midland City, brother, Jerry Wilson of Dothan, brother, David (Sherri) Wilson of Dothan, sister, Christine Proctor of Cottonwood, brother, John Wilson (Donna) of Defuniak Springs, FL, sister, Alesia Hammond (George) of Dothan, sister, Glenda Crutchfield (Edward) of Hartford and sister, Patricia Cureton (Larry Bohannan) of NC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
