Mickey Ray Pybus, age 70, went to be with the Lord on June 23rd, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Pybus; his brothers, Jackie Pybus and Roy Pybus; and his sister Yvonne Pybus Turvin (Kenneth).
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Pybus; his sons, Jason Pybus (Stacy) and Brandon Pybus (Jennifer); his daughter, Shannon Clark; his grandchildren, Christian Clark (Shelby), Anders Pybus, Colton Pybus, and Waylon Pybus; his great-grandson, Lawson Clark; his sisters, Phyllis Campbell (Charlie) and Jane Littlefield (Eddie); his brothers, Don Pybus (Connie), Danny Pybus (Crystal), and Joey Pybus (Bobbie); and multiple nieces and nephews.
Mickey was a native of Dothan and spent his adult life in the Destin, FL and Dothan, AL areas. He was a building contractor who built multiple commercial and residential buildings throughout Southeast Alabama and Northwest Florida. He had a passion for his work, and even after the diagnosis of a terminal illness, his goal was to continue working, and he did until the last day. His most recent company affiliation was as Vice President/Estimator for Good Cents Construction of Slocomb, Alabama.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Ronald Hovey and everyone at Good Cents for helping him fulfill his final wish. The family would also like to thank Dr. Justin Hovey, Dr. David Evans, and Dr. Walter J. Doty for their compassionate care.
Memorial service will be held at Harpers Joy Assembly, Harper Joy Rd, Dothan, AL 36301 on Monday June 28, 2021. Visitation will be at 10:30 am, with the service to follow at 11:00 am.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Foundation at Southeast Health (1108 Ross Clark Cir., Dothan, AL 36301).
