Mr. Nathan Matthews, age 62, a resident of Eufaula, passed away April 7, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 10, 2021 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula with Bro. David Chapman officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.  The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 at Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula.

 

Mr. Matthews was born on July 2, 1958 in Eufaula the son of Jessie Floyd Matthews, Sr and Alyne Griffin Matthews. He was a graduate of Eufaula High School. Nathan was hardworking and loved spending his spare time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and being outdoors. He had a passion for the United Way. He was known by his coworkers at Louisiana Pacific as “Tank”.  Mr. Matthews was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Matthews.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Beverly Grantham Matthews; son, John Trever Matthews (Morgan); three daughters, Amy Matthews, Amanda Matthews, Hannah Berryman; two brothers, Jessie Floyd Matthew, Jr., Terry Matthews; sister, Susan Baker (David); grandchild, Everly Faith Jackson; nephew Kevin Baker (Jami), and niece, Nickie Bateman (Geoffrey).

 

 Asked to serve as pallbearers: Shan Hart, Kevin Baker, Geoffrey Bateman, John Lehr, Val Morris, Corey Hart, Doodle Parmer, and John Fortune.

 

 Asked to serve as Honorary pallbearer: Robert Lampley.

 

Flowers will be accepted.
