Mr. Olan Lanier, Jr. age 96 of Taylor passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Olan was born on October 2, 1925, to the late Olan and Ketherine Lanier. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He also loved his Lord and family dearly.

Olan is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Lanier, parents, Olan and Katherine Lanier, and granddaughter, Laura Lynn Turner Wilkins.

Survivors include his son, James (Gayle) Lanier of Taylor; daughters, Judy Williams of Dothan and Patsy (Terry) Turner of Hartford; grandchildren, Vickey (Jeff) Harris, Jimmy Jr. (Sherry) Williams, Kenny (Wanda) Williams, Kim (Kyle) Wells, Brandi (Jamie) Quattlebaum, Corey (Haley) Lanier, Pam (Rollins) Benefield, 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Corey Lanier, Brandon Quattlebaum, Jamie Quattlebaum, Hunter Cumbie, Bo Williams, and John Skipper.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2022.
