Mr. Raymond Allen Andrews of Hartford passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the family residence.  He was 61. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011 in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating.  Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

Mr. Andrews was born on March 21, 1950 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Sanford E. Andrews, Sr. and Faye Kutzr Andrews.  He was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother, Michael David Andrews.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Andrews of Hartford; three daughters:  Dorothy Peters (Gerald) of Slocomb, Doris McDaniel of Montgomery, Dora Ellen Andrews of Hartford; one son:  Alton Stephens (Joy) of Dothan; one special granddaughter:  Lauren Fay Andrews of Hartford; two brothers:  Sandy Andrews (Gloria) of California, Robert Andrews (Betty) of Dothan; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a very  special friend:  Jaime Cole.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice and the Hartford Senior Citizens for their love and support during this difficult time.
