OZARK…Mr. Raymond C. Starling, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday evening, December 22, 2021, at his home. He was 70.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Sasser and Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Burial will follow in Starling Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Starling, son of the late Frank Starling and Esta Mae Odom Starling, was a native of Greenwood, Alabama near Troy. He has lived in Ozark most of his lifetime. Mr. Starling owned and operated The Roof Doctor in Ozark before turning the business over to his son. He enjoyed drag racing cars, camping, four-wheeler riding, boating at the lake, and really enjoyed his grandchildren. Mr. Starling was preceded in death by three sisters, Sallie Thompson, Sue Whitehead, and Darlis Boles; two brothers, James Carroll Starling and Tommie Ray Starling.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Loretta Flowers Starling ; two daughters, Dana Starling Stratton (Hank) and Sheila Morrison (W.C.); two sons, William Starling (Beth) and Harmon Starling (Shannon), all of Ozark; three brothers, Ronnie Starling (Patsy), Donnie Starling, and Greg Starling; thirteen grandchildren, Aaron and Cody Stratton, Haley McGowan, Justin Starling, Toby Starling, Ashlyn Starling, Kaitlin Starling, Cheyenne Starling, Chelsea Starling, Tristen and Trinity Brown, Austin Kirkley and Naomi Halford; three great-grandchildren, Shaylee Blackmon, Conleigh Starling, and Weston Scott.
