Robert "Chris" Clements of Cottonwood passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 76.

Robert was born on March 26, 1946 in Fadette, Alabama to the late Earl Clements Sr. and Lucille Holloway.  After high school, Robert joined the United States Navy and was assigned to the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser.

Robert enjoyed celebrating life with his wife of 32 years, caring for and loving his 14 cats, chasing chickens, and shooting guns. A memorable moment between Robert and his son was when it came time to teach him how to drive. Robert would describe that event as being terrifying, yet an important moment between father and son. Robert truly valued the knowledge and experience he gained from the military and was a proud Veteran.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Clements and sisters, Shyrel Kirkland and Shirley Joyner.

Survivors include wife, Betty Hall Clements; sons, Jerry Clements and Keith Foxworth; daughter, Marian Stapler (Darren); grandchildren, Josh Britt (Kristen Vaughan) and Jennifer Peterman; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will take place at 10AM Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Monday, April 18, 2022 for a visitation at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
