Mr. Robert Earl Burnett of Dothan passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, at his residence. He was 75.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Trail officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Flowers will be accepted, as well as contributions to the First Freewill Baptist Church, 1461 Timbers Drive, Dothan, AL 36305.


 


Mr. Burnett was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He liked to fish and was a fan of Braves Baseball.


 


Mr. Burnett is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Burnett; his parents, Mark and Eunice Burnett; and brothers-in-law, George E. Lewis of Abbeville, AL, and Manley Tolar of Pansey, AL.


 


Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Woodham and son-in-law, Jim Woodham, of Newton, AL; grandchildren, Meghan Woodham and Colton Woodham, of Newton, AL; special family friend and companion, Glenda Price; brother, Wayne Burnett and wife Dale, of Cottondale, FL; sisters-in-law, Vivian Lewis of Abbeville, AL, and Olivia Tolar of Pansey, AL; and several nieces and nephews.


 


The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and his caregivers.
