Mr. Ronald Anthony (Ronnie) Rathel of Pansey passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the age of 57.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Gordon City Cemetery with Reverend Michael Douglas officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1 to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday.

Ronald was born on April 19, 1964, in Donalsonville, Georgia to Homer and Ann Davis Rathel. He was raised in Pansey and was a lifelong farmer. He loved cooking, canning, fishing, and loved to have a fish fry. He always had a garden. He was always seen with a beer, chewing tobacco, a smile and was always joking around with people.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Houston and Oddie Rathel and Arthur and Cora Davis.

Survivors include his parents, Homer and Ann Rathel, 3 children, Barbara Sue, Dana, A.J., sister, Joy (Wayne) Morris, niece, Makayla Morris, companion, Rebecca Jacquart, and numerous cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Butler, Donald Ray Hatcher, Skip Wheelus, Trey Eubanks, David Money, and Alberto Lowe.
