Russell Wall Jones of Malvern passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 71.

Russell was born on August 21, 1951, in Bainbridge, GA to the late Clant T. “Buck” Jones and Nanette Wall Jones. He was a 1969 graduate of Bainbridge High School. Growing up, Russell enjoyed swimming, especially at Yates Springs, and spending time outdoors.  After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Russell married the love of his life, Debra in March of 1974 and together they raised a hardworking and loving daughter. He retired as a freight conductor after many years of working for CSX Transportation.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Debra Singleton Jones; daughter, Heather J. McAllister (Matt); grandchildren, John Russell McAllister and Charlotte “Charlie” Dale McAllister; and brothers, Robert Jones and Reid Jones.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
