Obituary: Mr. Sammie Strickland

 

Mr. Sammie Strickland of Malvern passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home. He was 58. 

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Burns Assembly of God Church with Rev. Stephen Peacock officiating. 

The family will receive friends Thursday at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mr. Strickland was born November 25, 1963 in Hartford to the late Edward F. and Jeanette Roland Strickland. Sammie was a loving individual with a tender heart, he would give you the shirt off his back. He loved the Lord and pastored for many years. Sammie loved his family dearly, especially his two daughters. He will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, his brother, Edward Earl Strickland preceded him in death. 

Survivors include two daughters: Sammi L. Strickland and Heather M. Phillips; grandchild, Joshua Phillips, Jr.; siblings: Donna McCoy, Gary Strickland, Patrisha Mayo, and Linda Morris; special friend, Stephen Peacock; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
