Mr. Samuel “Big Sam” Wilson Swiger of Geneva passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center on January 23, 2014.  He was 45.  A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Emanuel Assembly of God Church. 

Big Sam was born in Indiana on August 22, 1968 to the late Charles W. and Mary F. Mayfield Swiger. He loved to work on cars. He was a big man with an even bigger heart especially when it came to helping his friends. He was a good friend to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Barrina Foxhall Swiger of Geneva; two daughters, Maykala and Chasity of Indiana; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Jordan of Geneva; nine grandchildren; and brothers and sisters.  Pittman Funeral  Home of Geneva is in charge of arrangements.
