Sidney Gallagher of Dothan, Alabama entered eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 27, 2022 at the age of 78 years.
A celebration of life service will be in the Ward Wilson Chapel at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday March 30, 2022 with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Memory Hills.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister and brother among others.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Carolyn, sons Duane (Debbie) of Niceville, Florida and Heath (Victoria) of Trussville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Justin (Kelsie) Gallagher and great-grandchildren Clark and Josie of Destin, Florida, Megan (Jacob) Beauchamp and great-grandchildren Abigail, Lucy and Jane of Dothan, Alabama and Joseph Gallagher of Trussville, Alabama; step-grandsons, Timothy and Matthew Parker and their families; his brother, Bob Gallagher of Ashford, Alabama and Brother-in-law James Lawley of Ashford, Alabama; and brother-in-law Earl (Linda) Moon of Austin, Texas.
After 27 years, Sid retired from Farley Nuclear Plant in 2002. Special thanks to caregivers of the past 12 years, Patsy Mukerson, Teresa Mathis and Tracy Bolanos. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions to Bethel Baptist Church, 3257 East Cottonwood Road, Dothan, Alabama where Sid was a member.
Pallbearers will be brother, Bob Gallagher, sons, Duane Gallagher and Heath Gallagher, grandsons, Justin Gallagher and Joseph Gallagher, and husband of granddaughter, Jacob Beauchamp.
