Mr. Sidney Earl Trawick, age 84, of Ashford, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021.



Born May 13, 1936 in Houston County to the late John Brady “J.B.” Trawick and Myrtle Fuller Trawick, Sidney was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He was a 1954 graduate of Cottonwood High School and after graduation, he travelled to Waco, Texas to pursue work with his uncles building road bridges. In 1957, he went to Eufaula, AL to work on bridges then proceeded to work for Jamerson Construction Company in 1958 erecting the paper mill in Cedar Springs, GA. In 1963 Sidney went to work for Great Northern Paper Company and in 2005, he retired after 42 years with GA Paper Company and enjoyed his retirement.



In addition to his parents, Sidney was preceded in death by his brothers, John R. Trawick and Bud Trawick.



He is survived by his children, Kim Webb (Ken) and Dwayne Trawick, all of Dothan; his grandchildren, Nicole Body (Mike) and Brad Webb; the mother of his children, Nellie Trawick; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 22, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Bruce Barber officiating.
