Mr. Steve Johnson, a resident of Enterprise, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was 70 years old.


Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Enterprise with Reverend Karl Hudson officiating.  Interment will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until service time.


Mr. Johnson was born January 3, 1951 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Dewey Edwin Johnson and Betty Jo Smith Johnson.  He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and Jubilee Masonic Lodge #922. Steve loved his family unconditionally and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to spend coffee time with family, read, cook, travel, and spend time at the beach.  Steve worked with Townsend Building Supply in sales for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Michael Johnson.


Survivors include his wife, Karen Williams Boniface Johnson of Enterprise; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Michael Thornton of Enterprise; one son, Mark Johnson of St. Petersburg; one step-son, Colonel Christopher Boniface; grandchildren, Jordyn Thornton and Grayson Thornton of Enterprise; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Tony DuBose of Enterprise; one aunt, Mable Smith of Enterprise; one nephew, Ken and Brandy Johnson; one niece, Stephanie and Clint Walters; great nieces, Peyton Walters, Regan Walters, Lexi Johnson, McKenzie Johnson and Kinley Johnson; sister-in-law, Charlotte Landon of Fort Worth, Texas; and his faithful pet, Jasmine.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn. Tribute Department, St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
