Mr. T.C. Campbell of Darlington, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.  He was 95.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Walton County, FL with Rev. Terry Smith, Rev. John Wesley Spivey, and Rev. Steve Witt officiating.  Burial will follow at Limestone Community Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.


Mr. Campbell was born in Walton County, FL on January 17, 1924, to the late Curtis T. Campbell and Maggie Pridgen Campbell.  He was a graduate of Leonia High School in its last graduating class.  He received a Purple Heart during WWII while serving in the European Theater in the US Army. He was also a graduate of the University of Florida, earning a B.S. in Vocational Agriculture and an M.S. in Agronomy.


Prior to his retirement, Mr. Campbell was the vocational agriculture teacher at Walton County High School in DeFuniak Springs, FL for many years.  Following his retirement, he and his late wife, Nora, made the family farm in Darlington their home.  He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-one years, Nora Conner Campbell; and a brother, Leon Campbell.


He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Bernath of Tallahassee, FL, and Nancy Campbell (Charles Day) of Tuscaloosa, AL; son, Richard Campbell (Deborah) of Darlington; grandchildren, Shannon Sigler (Todd) of Tallahassee, Jeremy Campbell (Sarah) of El Paso, TX, Joshua Campbell (Caroline) of Plant City, Florida, Jacob Campbell (Hallie) of Tampa, Florida, Danny Campbell of Crestview, FL and Lacey Campbell of Darlington; great grandchildren, Savannah and Samantha Sigler of Tallahassee, and Trent and Riley Campbell, both of El Paso.
