Obituary: Mr. Terry Clyde Branton

 

Mr. Terry Clyde Branton of Rehobeth passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Southeast Health. He was 68. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time. 

Mr. Branton was born in Columbus, GA to the late T.H. and Johnnie “Blanche” Griffin Branton. He was an avid farmer and fisherman. Terry served as a Houston County Commissioner for many years. He owned and operated Branton Brothers Well Drilling. Mr. Branton also owned Southern Country BBQ in Graceville, FL for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, brother, Larry Branton preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife, Christine Branton; two sons: Keith Branton (Melissa), and Nicholas Branton (Rhonda); granddaughter, Kira Branton; brother, Tim Branton; nieces and nephews: Amanda Wright, Kevin Branton, David Branton and Corey Knight; great nieces, great nephews and other extended family and friends.
