Terry Spurlock, 66, husband of Barbara Elaine Shellhouse Spurlock, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his residence in Cowarts, AL surrounded by his family.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Kathy Stambaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Southern Heritage prior to the graveside service.   

Born in Georgetown, GA, he was a son of the late Willie Sanford and Ruby Lee Blackman Spurlock. He worked with Unisource Company in Dothan, Al for 39 years as a truck driver and as the warehouse manager. Mr. Spurlock is of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.  

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Terry Wayne Spurlock, Pensacola, FL; two brothers, James Dean Spurlock, Webb, Al and Calvin Lamar Spurlock, Eufaula, Al; three sisters, Cathy Juanita Walker, Georgetown, GA, Susan Elaine Tasker and Lisa Darlene King both of Eufaula, Al; one granddaughter, Kayla Renae Spurlock, Dothan, AL.

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Spurlock family.
