Tommy Gray McDaniel Sr, a resident of Cowarts, Alabama died unexpectedly Saturday, June 1, 2019 at UAB hospital. He was 79.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

 

Born to the late Noel Leroy McDaniel and Nattie Lee Branson McDaniel, Mr. McDaniel lived most his life in the Wiregrass area. He made his career as a Mechanic/Truck Driver serving many trucking companies in the wiregrass. After retirement, Mr. McDaniel loved spending precious time with his family and grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Pete Boykin; two sisters, Noel Upton and Eva Lee McIlwain.

 

Mr. McDaniel is survived by a daughter, Tamara James (Darren); a son Tommy McDaniel Jr. (Cherrie); two brothers Marty McDaniel and Charles McDaniel (Peggy); two sisters, Billy Ruth Crabtree and Pat Holmes; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
