NEWTON…Mr. Tommy Hugh Senn, a resident of Newton, died early Tuesday afternoon, February 6, 2024, at his home. He was 39.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 9, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Senn was born June 7, 1984, and was a native of Ozark. He attended G.W. Long High School and was formerly employed with Brown Manufacturing in Brown’s Crossroads Community. Mr. Senn loved country music, enjoyed fishing and loved doing mechanic work. He was an avid Auburn University Football Fan. Mr. Senn attended Chalkhead Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, John David Senn.


            Surviving relatives include his wife of eighteen years, Nina Furby Senn, Newton; his daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Senn, Newton; parents, Terry Senn, Sr. and Vicki Lynn Messick Senn, Chalkhead Community; sister, Sarah Szpeck, Ozark; a brother, Terry Senn, Jr. (Rebecca), Enterprise; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary Furby, Sr. and Helen Blankenship Furby;   two brothers-in-law, Dale Furby and Gary Furby, Jr. (Christina), all of Abbeville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Dale Furby, Stevie Messick, Jason Blunt, John Szpeck, Shelton Messick, William Vinson, Shane Messick, Gary Furby, Jr., Robert Bileau, and Bradley Wood.
