OZARK…Mr. Walter James Shaw, a resident of Ozark, passed away late Saturday evening, June 17, 2023, in Dale Medical Center. He was 53.


            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the family residence, 178 Edgewood Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Shaw, son of the late Thomas Edward Shaw and Azalia Ann Ogden Shaw, was a native of East Liverpool, Ohio. He was a 1988 Graduate of Beaver Local High School in Lisbon, Ohio. Mr. Shaw was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Desert Storm. Following his military service, he moved to St. Augustine, Florida where he was employed with Luhrs Manufacturing, a boat building company. Mr. Shaw moved to Ozark in 2021 and was employed with Glasstream Boats in Dothan. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Stephanie Lamer.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Amy L. Stull Shaw, Ozark; five children, Bre, Heath (Alec), Ohio, Andi Michelle Shaw, Casey Rae Shaw, both of Pensacola, Florida, Jesse James Shaw, Ozark, Jacob Douglas Shaw (Destine Joy Bell), Palm Coast, Florida; step-daughter, Heather Lamer, Cottonwood; two brothers, Thomas Shaw, Rogers, Ohio and Robert Shaw, Wellsville, Ohio; ten grandchildren; mother-in-law, Flora Seabury, Ozark; brother-in-law, Percy Stull, Jr. (Danielle), Oak Grove, Kentucky; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
