Mrs. Angeline Inez Griffin Hughes of Ashford passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the age of 76.



Angie was born on March 18, 1943, to the late Elisha Griffin and Lilla Tolar Griffin in Houston County.



She was a wonderful mother, wife, and Mimi. She worked many years as a bus driver for Houston County Schools. Angie was an avid reader from an early age. She also enjoyed painting, crocheting, and sewing.



In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her husband John E. Hughes and her brother William Oscar Griffin.



Survivors include her daughter: Melanie Sellers and son-in-law Mitch, sons: Tony Hughes and daughter-in-law Teresa, Stephan Hughes and daughter-in-law Tina, grandchildren: Shanda Jerkins (Chris), Ronnie Williams (Rivania), Devon Sellers, Jonathan Hughes, Trevor Hughes, and Bailey Hughes, great-grandchild: Corey Jerkins. Angie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



She will also be missed by her beloved chihuahua, Zena.



Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The church is located at 1546 South Rocky Creek Road.



Following the services the family will gather at the home of Mitch and Melanie Sellers at 370 Cowarts Creek Rd.
