Audie Kathleen Pace, 91, formerly of the Wicksburg community, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Westside Terrace.


Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Wyatt officiating.


Born in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, Audie was a daughter of the late John Henry and Lena Traughber Cole. She attended college for three years in Oklahoma and then worked in Civil Service for several years and taught elementary school in Oklahoma. She served as WMU president and director at several pastorates with her husband. She and Bill served the Lord through 27 mission trips for the Southern Baptist Misssion Board around the world.  Audie is a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pace was preceded in death by a son, Rick Pace.


Surviving are her husband, Joseph “Bill” Pace, Dothan, AL; one daughter, Linda Maddox and her husband Dr. J. Paul Maddox, Wicksburg, AL; five grandchildren, Surgical Physician Assistant Ashley Maddox , Dr. Jeremiah Maddox and wife Abby Maddox , Joshua Maddox, Alexandra Maddox and Nashly Pace Matthews; three great grandchildren, Pace Maddox, Mary Aplin Maddox and Jeremiah Paul Maddox..


Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Pace family.
