OZARK…Mrs. Bessie Mae Gross Jordan, a resident of Ozark, died early Monday morning, January 31, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Ozark. She was 85.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ozark with First Counselor David Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the church.


            Mrs. Jordan, daughter of the late Guy Gross and Sybil Mae Glass Gross, was a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She lived in various locations in the United States and overseas before she and her husband retired in Ozark in 1973. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Ozark. She was a dedicated military wife, a loving mother, and devoted homemaker for her family. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Louis Mitchell Jordan.


            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Judy Forsey (Gary) and Debbie Phipps (Frank), all of Ozark; three sons, Charles Jordan (Dotty) Waco, TX, Tommy Jordan, Ozark, and Roger Jordan (Hasuk), Panama City, FL; three sisters, Jessie Morrison, Mary Willis (Layman), all of Bowling Green, KY and Nancy Stiles, Brownsville, KY; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
