Betty Joyce Carter, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Flowers Hospital. She was 71.

 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 996 Prevatt Road Dothan, Alabama, with Pastor Kerry Kizer officiating.

 

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her son, Donavon Wayne Thompson; parents, Alvie Teaford and Mary Elizabeth Fain Barrett; brother, Grover Neal Barrett; sister, Francis Prince.

 

Survivors include her husband of twenty years Edward Carter; two brothers, Carlos “Jock” Barrett (Sandra), Ronald Barrett (Lottis); one sister Glenda Nichols; grandson, DJ Thompson; one great grandson Brayden Wayne Thompson.
