Blanche Granger, 92, formerly of Cottonwood, AL, widow of Grover Chalker Granger died Friday, February 03, 2012 at Signature Health Center at the Courtyard in Marianna, FL.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Clayton Church of Christ Cemetery, Cottonwood, AL with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and at other times will be at their respective homes.

Born in Houston County, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Amanda Melissa Hall Adams. She worked for several years as a seamstress for Wex-Tex Corporation and is a member of the Clayton Church of Christ.

Blanche was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Poole, eight brothers and two grandchildren.

Surviving are four sons, Bobby Granger, Tampa, Fl, Carl Granger, Pansey, Al, Wayne Granger and Garry Granger both of Cottonwood, Al, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Joe Robinson, Justin Holton, Danny Granger, Tony Hamilton, Kevin Granger and Tim Granger.

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Granger family.
