Brenda Carol Allsup, 58, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at her home.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 6:00 pm.  The family will receive friends from at the Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. 


Brenda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the 1974 class of Dothan High School. Brenda graduated from Auburn University with a BS degree in Emotional Conflict. She also received a MS degree from Auburn University and also a MS degree in counseling from Troy University. Brenda taught Special Education for 36 years with 25 years being with Dothan City Schools. She was an avid “Dye Hard” Auburn fan.  She loved her students and gave her all to each and every one of them.  She was known for going out of her way to help those in need, often times to her own detriment. She was very generous and caring to all who knew her.  She loved her family dearly and will be missed.


Mrs. Allsup was preceded in death by her father, Murray Browning.


Brenda is survived by her husband of 30 years, Clifford Allsup; her son, Christopher Ryan Allsup; her mother, Annette King; a sister, Cindy Browning Skipper; three step children, Kenny Allsup, Penny Aplin, April Fleming; six grandchildren; and a nephew Terry Skipper, Jr.
