Candida “Candy” Grace Arnold, a resident of Cottonwood, died Monday, May 21, 2012. She was 37.


Funeral services for Candy will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, May 25, 2012 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Kyle Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the funeral home.


Candy was born in Houston County, Alabama on March 9, 1975 to James Darrell Williamson and Mildred Grace Golden. She was a 1994 Honors graduate from Cottonwood High School and worked in the food service industry. Candy was fond of knitting and reading.


Candy is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Wayne Peacock; sister, Martha Sue Peacock and her maternal and paternal grandparents.


Survivors include her mother; Grace Peacock; husband, Michael Arnold; children, James Immanuel Dyson-Peacock, Cameron Lane Arnold and Destiny Kaitlin Arnold; sisters, Linda Lee Williamson, Andalusia, Marilyn Caudle, Pell City, Carolyn Guerrero, Gordon; brother, JC “Jake” Peacock, Gordon; special aunt, Nancy Peacock, Cottonwood; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Candy’s life motto was Romans 14:7-12.
