Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth Cherry Grooms, age 76, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021. 

Carol was born November 5, 1944 in Dothan to the late James B. Cherry and Beulah Elizabeth Martin Cherry. Carol attended Harvest Church and had a 2^nd degree black belt in Tai Kwon Do. She loved her family and enjoyed loving on her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wendell Randolph Grooms; her sisters, Elouise Sansone and Frances Wall; her brother, James “Bud” Cherry; and her son-in-law, Shawn Rogers.

Survivors include her daughters, Cha-Rae Johnson (Dennis) and Michelle Rogers; her grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Slade Rogers, Drake Rogers; her great-grandchildren, Alyanna, Blakely, Chandler, Anna Grace, Harrison, and Bryson; and her sister, Loretta Downs of Irving, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend James Keeler officiating.
