Carolyn Granger Jordan, age 63, of Dothan, Alabama passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She worked at Farley Nuclear plant for 37 years, where she was fondly known as the “Snack Queen.” She enjoyed spending time with her family, organizing events, going to the beach, doing crossword puzzles, bossing everyone around, but most of all, she enjoyed doing things for others. She was strong, successful, generous, hilarious, brave, and kind. She was a friend to everyone she met and will be missed by so many.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Jordan and her mother and father.

She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Jordan, of Dothan; her sisters, Cyndi Granger Maxwell (Jim), Cathy Granger Davis, and Eleanor Jones Ramer (Jerry); her brothers, Allen Granger and James Jones; numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins; Her beloved “brothers” from Farley; many special friends including her beloved friend and caretaker, Teresa Brumfield; her “beach friends” and last, but certainly not least, her beloved 4-legged son, Oliver Jordan, affectionately known as “Man-Head.”

A celebration of life will be held at 5 PM, Friday, April 28, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Alderman officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 5 PM, prior to the service. There will be food and fellowship after the service at Timbers Drive Church Fellowship Hall.
