Catie Mae West, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home. She was 73.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, May 28, 2022 in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Sidney Miller officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Catie was born to the late John and Alphie Jackson Addison on January 2, 1949. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing bingo with her senior living community. Mrs. Catie never met a stranger as she loved to carry on great conversations with anyone. Known as a great prayer warrior, she always lifted up the joy of her life, her family. Spending precious time with her family was of the utmost importance. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 31 years, Grady West; a son, John Davis West; one brother, Jack Addison.

Survivors include a son, James West (Rachel); a daughter, Lola Turner (Junior); a brother, John Addison (Ruby); a sister, Diane Bailey; four grandchildren, Graham West, Abram West, Marleigh West, and Summer Ingram; one great grandson, Jaylen Baker; along with several nieces and nephews and many friends.
