Clatie Pearl Carroll Sellers, 96, formerly of the Union Hill Community, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Signature Healthcare of North Florida in Graceville, FL.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Reverend George Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday November 11, 2011 at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of a son, “Bud” Sellers, 176 Bluff Springs Road, Cowarts, AL.

Born in Houston County, Al, she was a daughter of the late A.C. and Katie Lou Jones Carroll. Mrs. Sellers was a very devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother always willing to help others. She was a caretaker for her husband Johnnie during his recovery from a serious accident in 1946.  Mrs. Sellers was a homemaker and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents Clatie was preceded in death by her late husband, Johnnie Sellers and a brother, Paul Carroll.

Surviving are two sons, Mallie C. “Bud” & Rebecca Sellers, Cowarts, AL and Billy Max Sellers, Dothan, Al; a daughter, Nellie Sellers Elia, Panama City Beach, FL; a niece Faye Carroll Jernigan, Dothan, Al; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two special friends, Cindy Tarter, Cottonwood, AL and Marilyn Evans, Dothan, AL..

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Sellers family.
