Mrs. Delores Turner of Malvern passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the age of 82.


Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, October 10, 2019 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hosea Parker and James D. Adkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019.


Born February 12, 1937 in Dothan, the daughter of the late Thomas Pippin and Bertha Griffin Pippin, Delores was a graduate of Slocomb High School. She loved to travel, loved to dance, and was an avid Alabama football fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She retired from Sony/Nypro after 28 years.


She is preceded in death by her brother, Treadwell Pippin and a sister, Margie Owens.


Survivors include her husband, Andrew Turner; son, Tracy Pippin (Julie), daughter, Starla Adkinson, step-son, Jeffrey Turner, grandchildren, Kristie Kelley, Ashley Pippin, Spencer Adkinson, Jamie Adkinson, step-grandchildren Billy Smith. Heather Hattan (Brian) seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffrey C. Turner, J. D. Adkinson, Thomas Roland, Jessie Cothern, Joey Brown, and Billy Smith.
