Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

Mrs. Do Thi Nguyen, a resident of Ariton, died Sunday morning, September 12, 2021, at her home.  She was 82 years old.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nguyen will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Father Babu A. Jesuraj officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Nguyen was born March 3, 1939 in Hue, Vietnam to the late Xay Nguyen and Nuoi Nguyen. She moved to Ozark in 2004 to work with her family business.  Mrs. Nguyen was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark. She enjoyed cooking and playing the slot machines at Wind Creek Casino. She adored her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Khanh Nguyen of Vietnam; four daughters, Mai Thi Nguyen of Ozark, Lan Phuong Pham of Montgomery, Phuong “Nancy” Pham (Steven Nguyen) of Ozark and Hoa Thibien Nguyen of Troy; three sons, Nam Nguyen of Clanton, Dong Nguyen of Montgomery and Phong Nguyen of Vietnam. Fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
