NEWTON… Mrs. Donna Dillard Prescott, a resident of Newton, died early Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2022, at her home. She was 59.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 1, 2022, in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, near Samson, with her cousin, Bimbo Turner officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Bethel Baptist Church in Newton for a meal.

Mrs. Prescott, daughter of the late Clarence Joseph Dillard and Jeanette Story Dillard, was a native of Newton. She was a 1983 Graduate of Dale County High School and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church near Newton. Donna silently suffered most of her life with a disabling disease that progressed with her age. Despite her handicap she enjoyed life with a slight quirky wit that made you laugh. We will miss her, and the family is very grateful for her in their lives. Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lynn Prescott; two brothers, Danny Dillard and Randy Dillard; a nephew, Lee Dillard.

Surviving relatives include her sister, Vicky Dillard Smith, Dothan; her brother, Tim Dillard (Dana), Newton; nieces and nephews, Felicia Dillard Ward (Seth), Paul Dillard, Preston Godwin, and Kelli Dillard; great nieces, Addison, Layla, Reagan, and Kayli; numerous cousins.
