Doris Truitt Hughes of Dothan, Al died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center due to illness. She was 74.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Aaron Dickinson and Calvin Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday, March 17, 2012. Following the services, a reception will be held at the Cloverdale Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curry and Louvada Adamson (Senn) and also a brother, Grover Adamson.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Hughes of Dothan, AL; a daughter, Elizabeth Hayden of Danielson, CT; three grandchildren, Sasha Possemato of Worcester, MA; Carmelo Piccione of Brooklyn, NY; and Alexandra Piccione of Danielson, CT; one great-grandchild, Gabrielle Possemato of Worcester, MA; two sisters, Eva Lou Faircloth of Brundidge, AL; and Lyndel Carter of Elba, AL; two brothers, Kimble Adamson of Ariton, AL; and Larry Adamson of Brundidge, AL; and several nieces and nephews
