OZARK… Mrs. Dorothy G. Woodruff Kellum, a resident of Ozark, died early Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022, at her home. She was 100 years, 7 months, and 13 days.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 20, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, near Ariton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, Ozark Camp, PO Box 291, Ozark, Alabama 36361, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Church of God Home for Children, 537 Muncey Court, Sevierville, TN 37862, or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rock Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.


            Mrs. Kellum, daughter of the late Cleveland W. Woodruff and Minnie Smith Woodruff, was a native of Greenville, Alabama. She moved to Ozark in 1961, where she was retired from White Knight as a seamstress. Mrs. Kellum was a gifted seamstress, and she used her talent to make the Carroll High School Mascot, cheerleader uniforms, wedding dresses, and prom dresses. She enjoyed gardening and visiting the nursing homes. Mrs. Kellum was a member of the Stonebridge Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Marshall Kellum, A.B. McNeil; three children, Lamar Kellum, William Kellum, and Jessie Kellum; two grandchildren, Kennith Kellum and Sheila Buckalew.


            Surviving relatives include four children, Jean Peavy (Eddie), Kelly, Louisiana, Daniel Kellum (Rita), Bushnell, Florida, Pat Martin, Ozark, and Dorothy J. Kellum (Chris Woodrum), Venice, Florida; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and three great-great-great grandchildren.
