OZARK…. Mrs. Dorothy Grace Gunter Peters, a resident the Pleasant Grove Community, near Ozark, died late Thursday evening, July 2, 2020 at her home. She was 93.


            Private family funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 with her sons, Reverend Harold Peters, Reverend Glenn Peters officiating. Assisting her sons will be Reverend Keith Butler. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements..


            Flowers will be accepted.


            Mrs. Peters, daughter of the late Jessie Gunter and Mary Marsh Gunter, was a native and lifelong resident of the Pleasant Grove Community near Ozark. Mrs. Peters was employed as a private duty sitter for many people over the years and was a hospice volunteer with Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center. She was very proud to be a Foster Grandparent. Mrs. Peters was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Glendon Peters; a daughter, Barbara Hinson and her sister, Jessie Mae Beasley.


            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Kathy Johnson and Brenda Hoage (Steve); three sons, Glenn Peters, Jr. (Mary), Harold Peters, and Edwin Peters (Bridget), all of Ozark; sixteen grandchildren, Becky, Glen J., Lewis, John, Pete, Matt, Bo, Stephanie, Chad, Hilary, John Daniel, Brandy, Brandon, Brenda Grace, Steven II, and Katie; twenty seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
