Mrs. Dorothy Lee Dye Bowers of Dothan, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 95.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Bowers will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Westgate Baptist Church, 344 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, Al 36303 with Reverend Jonthan Rodgers, Reverend Tyler Perry and Stirling Long officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Dorothy Bowers to Enhabit Hospice of Dothan, Alabama.

Mrs. Bowers was born July 16, 1928 in Pelham, Georgia to the late Shirley Everett Tomlinson and Rosalie Mercer Tomlinson. She lived in Griffin, Georgia then she moved to Florida where she lived for 25 years before resided in Dothan.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Obie L. Bowers, oldest daughter Linda Burnett and her only son, Bill Dye.                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Survivors left to cherish her memories are her two daughters Carol (Pilcher) Long, Lynn Dye Wall, grandchildren Brooke Skinner, Christy (John) Mitchell, Kim (Dennis) Sitzmann, Patrick (Dawn) Dye, Shannon Dye Middlebrook, Damon (Holly) Johnson, John David Johnson, 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
