Earline Douglas Ward, age 77, of Dothan went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 23, 2016. She was born in Houston County to Johnny and Quida Mae Sims. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, fishing and reading. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Cher-o-creek Tribe.

She is preceded by husband and father of her children, Russell Douglas. A granddaughter, Kimberly Douglas; sister, Mable Ingram; brother, Lonnie Sims, and brother-in-law Gareth Ingram.

Surviving members include her husband George S. Ward, Jr.; son, Jimmy Douglas; daughter, Lisa Doswell (Bruce); son, Timothy Douglas (Sherry); daughter, Debbie Griswold (Ricky). Her Siblings include sister, Edna Ingram; brother, John Marlon Sims (Helen); brother, Mitchell Sims (Donna); sister-in-law, Laura Sims; brother-in-law, Terry Ingram. Grandchildren include Russell Doswell (Elysse); Adam Doswell (Amanda); Ashley Douglas (fiancé, Shane Corbin); Christian Griswold (Abigail); Collier Griswold (fiancé, Aselyn Gilley); Cameron Griswold and Caitlin Griswold. Great grandchild Luke Doswell.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm and funeral to begin at 2pm, Tuesday; January 26, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church Dothan, AL., with Reverend Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial to follow at Springhill Freewill Baptist Church in Gordon, AL., with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers: Russell Doswell, Adam Doswell, Christian Griswold, Collier Griswold, Cameron Griswold, and Shane Corbin. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Grace Sunday School Class. Flowers will be accepted or contributions to Covenant Care Hospice.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hartford Health Care for the tender loving hands that cared for our loved one.
