ARITON… Mrs. Edna Willene Segler, a resident of Ariton, passed away Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021 at Enterprise Medical Center. She was 92.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kevin Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Ariton Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.


            In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donation to Ariton Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 183, Ariton, AL 36311 or Bridlewood Church, 3871 N. U.S. Highway 231, Ozark, AL 36360.


            Mrs. Segler, daughter of the late Comer and Doll Sutton Barefield, was born September 9, 1928.  She was a life-long resident of Ariton.  Mrs. Segler was a member of Bridlewood Church in Ozark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Segler, two children Barbara and Curtis and two brothers, Bobby Jack Barefield and James Lewis Barefield.


            Surviving relatives include: Her son, Kenny (and wife, Ramona), her daughter Kathy McCracken (and her husband, Neal); six grandchildren, Valerie Thomley (her husband, Dustin),  Brooke Segler, Dylan Segler, Brant Lyons, Lindsey Lightsey (her husband Reed) and Compton McCracken.   Willene had three grandchildren, Anna Claire Sloop, Addison Thomley and Amelia Thomley.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Brant Lyons, Dylan Segler, Compton McCracken, Dustin Thomley, Reed Lightsey, Eli Usry, Robin Culverhouse, Tullie Culverhouse and Vince Fralish.
